Our Leadership
The ministry of Northwood is led by elders and facilitated by deacons, but the ministry is done by the members of our church. Our staff help support this work on a daily basis.
Our Staff
Elders
We believe God has given elders, also known as pastors, to his church for the good of his people.
Elders are responsible for equipping the church for the work of ministry through teaching, shepherding, praying, and leading (Acts 6:1-6, Eph 4:12-16, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
As such elders must be men, who exemplify Christlike character and are able to give instruction in sound doctrine and refute those who contradict it (Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7). Some of our elders serve on our staff team, while others serve as lay elders.

As such, deacons must be men or women, who are exemplary in Christ-like character and the competency to fulfill the responsibilities of deacons, especially in promoting unity.
Our current deacons are:
Meet with a pastor
Meet us for coffee during the week. Bring your questions about faith, about Jesus, and about his Gospel and you will make some friends before you even attend on a Sunday.
